- Try to lead a healthy lifestyle
- Keep active
- Watch your weight and diet
- Don’t smoke
- Drink in moderation
- Make sure you understand your treatment – ask questions if you are unsure
- Patients can access their medical records, in keeping with the data protection act 1998. Please contact practice manager.
- Please cancel appointments you cannot keep as this will allow us to offer the appointment to another patient. Patients who fail to attend 3 or more consecutive appointments will be lettered by the practice.
- Please try to arrive on time for your appointment or let the reception staff know if you have been delayed.
- If a member of staff has arranged to visit you at home please make sure you are in at the agreed time.
- Try to ask for a Home Visit before 10am (we know this is not always possible) and only request a visit if your condition prevents you attending the surgery.
- Please only use the NHS Forth Valley Out-Of -Hour’s Emergency Service if your condition cannot wait until the next day’s clinic
- Many problems can be solved with advice on their own, therefore patients should not always expect to receive a prescription.
We ask that patients treat the staff and doctors with courtesy and respect. Bear in mind that reception staff have a very difficult job to do with limited resources and without detailed medical knowledge. They are trying to do their best for you.
